According to recent news, current Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea's transfer to Real Madrid has fallen through. Both clubs claims that the other is to blame for the transfer failure. To me, the real losers of this transfer drama is none other but the player himself David De Gea. De Gea has shown that he wants to join Real Madrid and he tried to force a move by not signing a new contract. Unfortunately, Louis Van Gaal doesn't like that and he would rather bench David De Gea than to see him go out with a small amount of fee. Maybe Manchester United doesn't want to seem like they are Real Madrid's feeder club, hence why they are playing hard to get.
